Life on the Kentucky frontier was filled with many fearful unknowns and social complexities. Too often history records the wars, tragedies, and darkest of days. Many who lived then found fame and were remembered for the way they lived their extraordinary lives in times of great crisis. We often overlook the simple and beautiful lives of those who lived and loved and gave themselves to quiet and honorable service of one another. They were common folks who demonstrated faithfulness, loyalty, serving, and caring on a daily basis. They were the unsung ones, the common, the simple, the beautiful, the Parishioners.
